The Role:

GovAssist is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Accountant to play a crucial role in
our finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage a broad range of financial
responsibilities in a dynamic, international, multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate will
bring strategic insight and a solid accounting background and be ready to address the
challenges and opportunities of a fast-evolving global business landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial close process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring
    accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee and manage finances across multiple companies and entities.
  • Handle all facets of accounting operations, including receivables, payables, payroll,
    taxes, and more.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and policies, ensuring adherence to laws and
    best practices; manage government reporting and tax filings.
  • Facilitate financial audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure efficiency.
  • Deliver comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting trends,
    forecasting financial outcomes, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Assist with the financial planning process, including budgeting and forecasting, in
    collaboration with department heads.
  • Implement and refine accounting systems and software with a focus on scalability and
    efficiency.
  • Mentor and support the accounting team, promoting professional growth and
    development.
  • Collaborate with teams across GovAssist to support strategic financial objectives and
    business operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior role,
    preferably in a high-growth or international business environment.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with international financial operations and a strong plus for experience
    working globally.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Rho; adeptness in integrating and optimizing
    accounting software and systems.
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced setting, managing multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse teams and senior
    management.
